Monday #1
Hatteras M60:
Designed for the Owner/Operator
The Hatteras M60 is a big step up for a lot of boat owners, both in terms of size and function. With Hatteras, there are no worries about weather in all but named storms, and the company’s systems' reliability is legendary. We tested her with the optional twin 1136-hp CAT ACERTs, which pushed her to a top speed of 31.4 knots. At 1600 rpm, she ran 18.6 knots and had a range of 427 NM, allowing a 10 percent reserve of her 1,200-gallon (4,542 L) fuel capacity. The bow thruster and the large wheels will make a joystick unnecessary for most experienced skippers, though one is available as an option. Engine room headroom is 6’7” (2.01 m) and the space is well lighted with a walkway between the engines for daily checks.

Palm Beach 55:
Fine Woodworking Plus Modern Technology
The sit-down helm of the Palm Beach 55 has the same outstanding level of fit-and-finish in real Burmese teak seen in the rest of the yacht. The glass dash is relatively low, maximizing vision forward. Note that the black vinyl on the dash extends all the way to the windshield to reduce glare. The “A” frame, like we often see in an automobile, allows the power vent window to operate. Three raked windshields across the front of the cabin are clear tempered glass and each has its own pantograph wiper with 24 V synchronized motors, variable speed control, and washers.

Sirena 58:
Classic Lines with a Modern Treatment
The plumb bow and sharp forward entry of the Sirena 58 cleanly slice waves to smooth the ride at all speeds right up to full throttle at 24.4 knots. Because her hullsides don't narrow as they approach the waterline like most boats, her beam of 17’7” (5.36 m) is carried pretty much all the way to the waterline which maximizes interior living space. She’s capable of extended voyages at displacement speeds powered by twin 650-hp CAT C8.7s. Her 950-gallon (3,596 L) fuel capacity gives her a range of close to 1000 NM at 9 knots. She can sleep four or six, depending on the layout.

World Cat 255DC:
Dual Mission Dual Console
The World Cat 255DC is well laid out for its dual missions of fishing and family fun, with the bow area particularly useful for both. Full cushion backrests angle back to provide a reclined feel here. There's plenty of lounging space, and if the owner inserts the optional bow table, six people can enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres. She is also ready for fishing by adding a couple of options. The cat concept is catching on in America and this is one of the reasons why.

Sea Ray SLX-W 230:
Easy-Docking Inboard Wakeboat
The Sea Ray SLX-W 230 is a dedicated watersports platform with all of the bells and whistles required for serious wakeboarding and tow sports. She comes standard with three ballast tanks and the Dynamic Running Surface with Wake-Shaping tabs instantly turns the boat into a towing platform that should impress serious wake surfers. She’s inboard-powered like many dedicated watersports boats, but bow and stern thrusters and joystick control eliminate all issues with low-speed handling at the docks or when picking up those in the water.
