Vicem Yachts Classic 46 IPS:

Downeaster Design w/Yacht Quality

Fit-and-Finish

Vicem Yachts Classic 46 IPS
Vicem Yachts Classic 46 IPS

Few boats built today have more wood in them than does the Vicem 46 IPS. The salon of the Turkish-built, cold molded hull is lavishly finished in Khaya mahogany. The doors are framed in wood both inside and out, with rounded corners, not mitered joints. All over the boat there is solid wood with old-world craftsmanship; each piece is made one at a time. There are no conveyor belts at Vicem. The salon deck is mahogany trimmed in real holly—no shoes, please!

Cruisers Yachts 46 Cantius

The Cruisers Yachts 46 Cantius offers an optional electric grill and refrigerator on the transom to take the cooking outside when the weather is right. The hydraulic swim platform is another useful option—it has both the power and the space to carry and launch a dinghy. A four-step boarding ladder deploys as the platform lowers.

MJM 35z:

80% Day Boat/20% Cruising

MJM 35z
MJM 35z

To design a boat for the way it’s used 80 percent of the time, as MJM has told us it does, is a sensible approach that serves as a guidepost for many decisions for a naval architect and a builder. When we inspected the MJM 35z, and considered that rule, we could see why decisions were made they were. And, she is powered by another trend: outboard engines.

Robalo R242EX:

A Center Console Priced Right

Robalo R242EX
Robalo R242EX

There's plenty of real estate for a full twin-screen glass helm on the Robalo R242EX, with Simrad or Garmin multi-function displays available as original equipment. The tilt-wheel is centered on the console, with the compass directly ahead of the skipper. The wraparound windshield is tempered glass rather than acrylic, promising long-term clarity and scratch-resistance.

Galeon 510 Skydeck:

Euro Lines and Inventive Engineering

Galeon 510 Skydeck
Galeon 510 Skydeck

The Galeon 510 Skydeck combines the sporty lines of a hardtop express cruiser with a flying sun pad with adjoining mini helm. Perhaps the most interesting option is the “beach mode” with side decks that fold out to widen the 14’8” (4.46 m) beam by 5’ (1.52 m). Note the two-stool cocktail bar on the port side. The aft couch rotates to face the swim platform which can lower down.
