The Hinckley and Hunt teams were officially integrated last month into one organization, and at the same time announced two new Ocean Series vessels. Carrying 2,050 gallons (7,760 L) of fuel, the new Hinckley-Hunt 76 flybridge will have long range cruising capabilities at displacement speeds, but the company says that she can deliver a top speed over 30 knots with twin 1900-hp CATS. Standard power: 2x Caterpillar C32 ACERT 1600-hp diesels, with an option of 1900-hp. The second new yacht is the Hunt 63.

The Hinckley Company announced in January that it has fully integrated its Hunt Yachts team into day-to-day operations with the Hinckley Yachts team, and it unveiled the Hunt 76 and Hunt 63 Ocean Series. These new Ocean Series yachts have been drawn by the legendary Ray Hunt Design studio with a focus on offshore performance for customers looking to explore new destinations. The first of these go-anywhere yachts has been recently delivered to Europe and two others are currently in build.

Mike Arieta, President of The Hinckley Company, said, “With speeds of 30 knots and the ability to handle conditions that would make other yachts shudder, this new generation of Hunt Ocean Series is for customers who want new experiences, to go explore their world making rapid passages and embracing the offshore route to get there. ” Continued Arieta.

The Hunt 76 Ocean Series has a hull length of 76’3” (32.14 m) reaching an LOA of 82’3” (25.06 m) with her swim platform. The beam is 19’6” (5.94 m). Powered by twin Caterpillar C-32 V-12 4-stroke diesel engines with twin turbocharged aftercoolers, the Hunt 76 can reach speeds well over 30 knots and fast cruise at 29 knots, according to the company.

The Hunt 63 Ocean Series has a hull length of 63’ (19.20 m) with an LOA of 69’6” (45.37 m) with her swim platform. The beam is 18’ (5.48 m). Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS1350s, the Hunt 63 can reach speeds of 31 knots and fast cruise at 26 knots, according to the builder.

Both the Hunt 76 and 63 Ocean Series yachts are available for order now and will be built to customer specifications. Sea trials can be arraigned in both the US and in Europe.

The flying bridge, in this rendering, is clearly designed for entertaining or hosting a large number of people. For example, it would make a good place for the race committee for the New York Yacht Club to observe sailboat races in Newport, R.I., home of Hunt Yachts.

We always like to see two seats by the helm for a companion. The fact that the wheel is between the seats is not a problem as steering offshore will be by autopilot, and docking will be done standing up. Note the curved aft salon door which is expensive to make but elegant to enter – and rarely seen on this style boat.

Like the main deck, the accommodations level can be customized so long as structural bulkheads stay in place. The master is large with a walk-in closet and double washbasins. The crew quarters are reached from the aft deck in the starboard console. The boat has V-drives.
