Monte Carlo Yachts 70 Mk II: A 360-Degree Look at the New MCY 70
Hull #1 of the new MCY 70 Mk II was on display at the Dusseldorf boat show last month and it will be months until another one can be built and sent to the U.S. We like 70’ (21 m) motoryachts because they are an ideal size for an owner/operator. Virtually all boats in this size range now have bow thrusters, and many have stern thrusters, too, making docking easy, even for a new owner. A number of our readers have asked for pictures, so today, we take a 360-degree look at the aft deck, salon and galley of the MCY 70, and a peak below at the master.

360: Use your curser to scroll the image left, right, up and down to get the full 360-degree detail.
The aft deck of the MCY 70 is made for a party and the stainless steel framed doors open wide to the salon. Six people can comfortably sit at the aft deck table for al fresco dining. As you scroll around you will see the interior structure of the building in which the large motoryachts were displayed in Dusseldorf.

360: This 360 shot was taken in the middle of the salon and note the large side windows and how low they go, all part of the builder’s theme of making the new 70 lighter and brighter. Look closely and you will see the cabinet next to the aft salon door that hides the private stairway down to the master stateroom – another improvement in the Mark II version.

360: Here we get a good view of the galley which is to port and adjacent to the helm. The helm is to starboard with a stylish screen behind it which is mirrored on the port side as a decorative element. Note the side door next to the helm, something not often seen in these types of motoryachts, which makes for easier docking when the skipper is single-handing the vessel. Looking aft, the size and comfort level of salon is evident.
