Brief Summary

The Nordhavn 43 is a boat built for one specific purpose: long-range bluewater voyaging. It's a nice balance of size (LOA is 43 feet), cost (base boat is $695,000), complexity (single diesel) and cruising range (over 3,000 n.m.), and is designed for folks who want to cross oceans in a reasonably sized, reasonably affordable powerboat. On the other hand, when the voyage is over, most folks will probably want to trade their Nordhavn for something more suitable for coastal cruising: Its top speed is just 8.5 knots, according to the builder. Or maybe they'll just plan another adventure of a lifetime.
