Stay Connected

ActiveCaptain lets a boater access charts from anywhere — at home or on the water — using OneChart. It also wirelessly receives and installs software updates from a mobile phone directly to a chartplotter. The Active Captain community also lets members get inside info from marinas and fellow boaters. following is a look at some individual features.

OneChart

Using a smartphone, a user can purchase a chart at any time using the OneChart feature. Then the chart can be uploaded to a plotter through the app. OneChart also lets a captain access and update charts from a smartphone. Connecting to your plotter through the app also lets a user display text messages on the MFD display when on board.

ActiveCaptain Community

There’s strength in numbers. When an angler downloads ActiveCaptain, he joins a community of fellow boaters for up-to-date feedback on marinas, boat ramps and other points of interest that can be synced to a compatible Garmin plotter.

Software Updates

Receive notifications about the most recent software updates directly from the app and update the mfd wirelessly. After E-scouting a new fishing spot, a captain can plan a trip before ever hitting the water. Transfer the information directly to a chartplotter where routes and waypoints will be displayed. Additionally, a captain can upload and share Quickdraw Contours map data with fellow boaters or he can download the latest content and transfer to a plotter.

Real-Time Monitoring

In addition to navigation, ActiveCaptain lets a user monitor the Garmin OnDeck system.
