The 20.7-meter Prestige M8, first introduced in January, will debut at the Cannes Boat Show 2023 alongside the first model in the new generation of the F-Line.

Prestige Yachts has revealed details of its second powercat to launch within just 12 months. The new flagship Prestige M8 comes shortly after the M48, the shipyard’s first-ever multihull, which launched in summer 2022.

Last week, the French shipyard hosted a private preview of the Prestige M8 at the new Groupe Beneteau Italia shipyard, the second main production site for Prestige, located on the Adriatic coast between Trieste and Monfalcone.

Prestige first revealed its plans to build the flagship M8 at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2023. Garroni Design, which has designed Prestige yachts for the past 30 years, handled the design for the M8 to ensure a stylistic continuity with the rest of the Prestige range.

The Prestige M8 is designed as a ‘home-away-from-home’ with plenty of volume and living space, plus a walkaround deck with large outdoor seating areas fore and aft. The hulls were designed by Marc Lombard and the vessel is equipped with twin Volvo D8 600hp engines.

The new M8 represents a concentration of innovation. Her contemporary lines, highly efficient hull design, and innovative layouts place this new model at the top of the multihull motor yacht category,” says Camillo Garroni, Prestige Yachts designer. “The exterior lines have been designed to reveal a bold, distinctive personality. Here, there is no reference to the world of sailing catamarans, as so often is the case.

“Proportions are typical of a powerful, contemporary motor yacht. The M8 is a true villa on the sea. The layout, living spaces, ease of movement, and safety on board have been designed to optimize the experience of the owners and their families.”

The 20.7-meter M8 will be introduced at the Cannes Boat Show 2023, alongside the first model in the new generation of the F-Line.

The first model of the new F-Line generation represents a significant evolution in the segment where Prestige is actually the market leader, bringing innovations to meet new clients’ expectations while remaining true to the brand’s DNA,” says Prestige vice president Erwin Bamps. “More details of the new yacht will be unveiled later this summer.”
