New Lux Balise Pontoon Line from MasterCraft - Helix and Horizon

The Balise Helix (front) and the Balise Horizon models are available in either 24’ or 26’ lengths and feature a wide variety of upscale features.

OWOSSO, Mich., Crest Marine, LLC., a leader in the recreational powerboat industry and subsidiary of MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCFT), has announced the expansion of its portfolio with the launch of an all-new, independent luxury pontoon brand, Balise Pontoon Boats (“Balise”). Balise was born from the singular mission to be the most luxurious and innovative pontoon boat on the market, per the company.

The launch of the Balise brand is the culmination of nearly three years of careful consumer research, design, and engineering to redefine the way consumers experience on-water luxury and sophisticated entertainment,” said George Steinbarger, President of Crest Marine. “Jointly developed by a dedicated team of Crest Marine and MasterCraft professionals, we leveraged more than 120 years of combined premium boat building experience, design, and innovation to develop a brand whose single goal is to deliver a standard of elegance, performance, and quality not previously experienced in the pontoon segment.”

The Balise brand will initially launch with two distinct models, the Horizon and the premium Helix. Both models are available in either 24- or 26-foot lengths, and can be outfitted with the Cruise (“C”) or Lounge (“L”) layout configurations.

Mastercraft Helix Pontoon

The top-of-the-line Helix model features sculpted fiberglass “fence” that adds eye appeal to her exterior lines and plush yacht-class seating among other premium features.

Each model has premium features including plush Cool-Touch upholstery, with heated seats as an option, wireless phone chargers and RGB interior LED lights throughout.

There’s even an available slide out tray for pet food and water, and a cooler slide in the console puts cold drinks easily within reach.

A cooler slide in the console is fitted to the included Balise cooler, which can be carried ashore as desired.

Both models offer numerous upgrades such as dual 12-inch screens at the helm, dual windshields, underwater lighting, diving board, and a user-friendly low-profile ladder. The Lillipad boarding ladder has extra wide steps to be easy on bare feet.

A cooler sits in a powered bracket at the transom, and can be automatically lowered to water level when it’s time for a swim.

And in an apparent industry-first, Balise is introducing an in-water powered cooler that automatically lowers down to water level while anchored – greatly enhancing the in-water entertainment experience. Additionally, Balise has in-water audio with a “4D sound system”|, designed to deliver full-range, crystal-clear sound at water level.

The helm of both models can be fitted with SIMRAD MFD’s and feature styled steering wheel and pushbutton accessories.

The boats should be strong performers. The Helix and Horizon models come equipped with a base Mercury® 5.7L V10 350 Verado, and the choice to upgrade to a Mercury® 5.7L V10 400hp Verado or Mercury Racing® 4.8L V8 Supercharged 500R.

At least initially, all Balise models will be built at MasterCraft’s Crest Marine pontoon plant in Michigan, which recently completed a $1m expansion.
