Chaparral H2O 21 Ski & Fish:
Cost-Effective Multi-Mission I/O
The Chaparral H2O Ski & Fish has the eye-appeal and comfortable seating of a stylish runabout, but she quickly converts to a very workable fishing rig for freshwater or coastal work. Included (but hidden) fishing features include bow and stern casting platforms and swiveling fishing seats, a 70-quart livewell, trolling motor mount, wiring and batteries, and gunwale rod holders. The Minn Kota bow mount trolling motor is standard but is easily removed when the mission is watersports or day-boating. At a suggested price of $34,495 including trailer, she's cost-effective.

Volvo Penta "Next Generation" Engines:
Automotive Reliability in a Marine Engine
Volvo Penta’s lineup of "Next Generation" engines, including the V6-200, V6-240, V6-280, V8-300 and V8-350, are built on the latest models of GM aluminum blocks and heads. That means these designs have been proven by millions of automotive units in service all over the world. Volvo Penta says this platform choice was based on features including common rail fuel injection, competitive cost and reliability, variable valve timing, and fresh-water cooling as standard components. In-cylinder fuel-injection allows increased compression ratios and fuel economy, while the VVT improves torque and greatly reduces emissions. Engines registered in North America have a five-year factory warranty.

Monte Carlo Yachts 105:
New Flagship Yacht w/ Italian Panache
The Monte Carlo Yachts 105 offers a fully-customizable interior, but efficiencies in build keep the pricing within the norm for top-end production yachts, according to the company. The full-beam master includes large hullside windows as well as a skylight, making it unusually bright. MCY's signature four concentric circle portlights illuminate the full-beam VIP stateroom below. The open flying bridge adds a large entertainment venue, but wind screens keep the ocean breezes at bay.

Key Largo 2486 WA:
Saltwater Rig with Evinrude Power
The Key Largo 2486 WA produced impressive performance in our test runs considering that she was powered by a single Evinrude E-TEC G2 250 H.O. outboard. "H.O." stands for "High Output", which, in this case, means she produces something like 275-hp at wide-open-throttle. She got on plane in 4.8 seconds, reached 30 mph in 8.1 seconds and topped out at 49.5 mph, turning a BRP 4-blade 15 x 18 stainless steel propeller. She draws around 20'' (.51 m), making her suitable for bay and lake fishing as well as offshore work.

Sea-Doo SPARK:
Entry-Level Price, Maximum Fun
The Sea-Doo SPARK is, for most people, the first foray into the world of personal watercraft. It’s affordable, fun, easy to ride and easy to transport. For about the price of a big screen premium TV, family fun can take on a whole new meaning. Options such as storage compartments and Intelligent Braking and Reverse are available to increase the functionality, but for most, the base machine is just the ticket for safe, affordable family fun. In fact, in our test video, we even swapped Captain Steve in favor of an entry-level operator.

How to Make An Old Boat New
Repowering is a tried and true way of revitalizing an old boat at a fraction of the cost of buying new. The 383 MAG Stroker Inboard is designed to be a lighter, higher-output replacement for various gasoline inboards. We tested the Stroker on a single engine, pocket cruiser 1999 Donzi 275 Z, weighing approximately 8,200 lbs. (3,719 kg).
