Cruisers Yachts:
Dedicated Employees Produce a Quality Build

Cruisers Yachts
Cruisers Yachts Factory Video

Skilled and dedicated employees with much experience – some second generation – ensure a quality build process at the Cruisers Yachts facility in Oconto, Wisconsin. Shown here is the vacuum bagging and resin infusion process used to make parts finished on both sides of the hull and deck. The time-consuming process takes hours of preparation, but results in quality parts with just the right ratio of resin-to-glass for strength and long-lasting good looks. All wood-working, upholstery, wire harnesses and virtually everything else that goes into the finished yachts – except the engines – is built in-house by the Cruisers Yachts “family.” More...

Ilmor 483 HP MV8 7.4L with One Drive:
Racing Heritage/5-Year Warranty

Ilmor 483 HP MV8 7.4L with One Drive
Ilmor 483 HP MV8 7.4L with One Drive

The Ilmor 483 HP MV8 7.4L is from a company that got its start building IndyCar race engines and then waded into marine racing engines in 2002 powering boats for the “SuperCat” Offshore Racing Series. Today, the engines are built on GM 454 blocks and use interior components of Ilmor’s design – including forged steel crankshaft, rods, and pistons. Closed cooling systems use glycol-based coolant and heat exchangers to cool exhaust manifolds and steering systems, keeping everything within temperature tolerances for optimum performance and durability. The One Drive lower unit was initially engineered by Yanmar to be coupled with high torque diesel engines, with forged gears for added durability. The built-in hydraulic transmission ensures smooth, clunk-free shifting. A five-year warranty comes standard. More...

Ocean Alexander 120 Megayacht:
Versatile Entertaining and Charter Yacht

Ocean Alexander 120 Megayacht
Ocean Alexander 120 Megayacht

The Ocean Alexander 120 Megayacht is set up to be fully crewed, but the pilothouse is so appealing that we suspect the owner may want to spend some time in command. The pilothouse is just a step away from the day head, which is located just inside the elegant skylounge, and from the captain’s quarters, with a double bed, HD TV and private head. The helm is available with two or three Stidd pedestal chairs and up to five large navigation screens. The water-tight port side door provides a good view of the port side in docking, as well as immediate access to the large Portuguese bridge. More...

Palm Beach 50 Fly:
Easy Rider w/Classic Design, Premium Features

Palm Beach 50 Fly
Palm Beach 50 Fly

Our BoatTEST captains actually look forward to a day like this for testing because rough water brings out the character of yachts like the Palm Beach 50 Fly. Conventional wisdom is that deep V-hulls provide the smoothest ride in choppy water, but the 6-degree deadrise of this yacht combined with her sharp forward entry resulted in an impressively comfortable test run—even though the topsides obviously needed a freshwater washdown afterwards. The boat’s level ride at full speed is the result of careful weight distribution; from a modest five percent to seven percent bow rise on acceleration to a nearly flat, level ride with trim tabs engaged. This level ride extends waterline length and contributes to excellent handling. More...
