Riviera Belize 66:
Luxury in a Seaworthy Cruiser

Riviera Belize 66
Riviera Belize 66 Sedan

The Belize 66 reminds us of a high-end sports car where no expense was spared to get every detail just right. Riviera has packed this yacht full of some of the most compelling amenities in this size range and type – and she should appeal to people who want something different, yet not over the top. She is intended and built for serious cruising, has a tender garage, and is available in both three and four stateroom layouts. She is luxurious from stem to stern, and can be personalized to fit the proclivity of nearly any owner. More...

Schaefer Yachts 510 Pininfarina:
Easy-Rider, Up Sea or Down

Schaefer Yachts 510 Pininfarina
Schaefer Yachts 510 Pininfarina

Up-sea or down, the Schaefer Yachts 510 Pininfarina handled predictably well in our tests. She ran into a chop on test day with no hull slap or pounding and no water on the windshield, thanks in part to the sharp forward entry and hard chines carried all the way to the bow. She also kept her head up in following-sea operation. The 17-degree deadrise at the transom seems to be a good compromise between ride quality and stability, according to our test captain. More...

Vicem 58:
Cold-Molded Hull for Strength, Lightweight, and Quiet Running

Vicem 58
Vicem 58

For people who appreciate the aesthetics of a wood boat, the Vicem Classic 58 should be high on their short list of vessels to investigate. But there are other advantages to the cold-molded Vicem Classic 58, as well. Her hull is far more puncture-resistant than a typical cored fiberglass hull. Not only does it have an outer and inner layer of E-glass, but four layers of diagonally planked mahogany are epoxied together to form a solidly-built and highly puncture-resistant unit. The company says the process results in a hull that’s lighter and stronger than fiberglass, better insulated against cold, and with natural sound-deadening qualities that result in a very quiet ride – as our test numbers verified. Evinrude’s 10-Year Coverage
is the
Best Outboard Coverage

Evinrude’s 10-Year Coverage

This year Evinrude is once again offering 10-year coverage on its E-TEC G2 engines, and the rigging –including iDock -- if it is on the same invoice. Depending on the engine purchased, this could be up to a $5,500 value per engine. For quads that adds to $22,000. The “coverage” means that Evinrude will pay for parts and labor if anything goes wrong because of a failure of a part or defective manufacturer. It does not include things like changing oil filters and normal maintenance. The coverage is factory-backed, which means that the factory pays, and this coverage has not been farmed out to any 3rd party insurance company. It is non-declining and is transferable. No outboard maker comes close to offering this degree of financial protection to consumers. This special program ends March 31, 2019. Find out more...

Boston Whaler 350 Outrage:
XL Storage Under an XL Lounge

Boston Whaler 350 Outrage
Boston Whaler 350 Outrage

Just ahead of the console is what may surely be the most popular spot on the Boston Whaler 350 Outrage, a large lounge with flip-down armrests and drink holders nestled into the center armrest. It includes massive locking storage underneath, arranged in one of the more functional designs we’ve seen in CC’s this size, including room for dive tanks, 5-gallon buckets, removable bins and six fishing rods. Note the SS gas assist struts holding up the cover of the storage area. More...

Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly:
Multiple Joysticks Ease Short-Handed Docking

Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly
Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly

Our test captain found the Cruisers Yachts 60 Fly exceptionally easy to handle in tight docking situations, thanks in part to joystick controls found at the lower helm, seen here, the flybridge helm, and on the aft deck. The system allows the captain to observe all sides of the boat by moving to the various stations, a big plus when operating short-handed. This helm station also includes two 16” Raymarine touchscreen displays, which can be synced and operated via smartphone or tablet. Radar, GPS, autopilot, and compass all come standard, as well. Fountaine-Pajot MY 44:
3 Venues Hard to Beat

Fountaine Pajot MY 44
Fountaine-Pajot MY 44

There are a number of compelling features on the Fountaine-Pajot MY 44 catamaran, but at the top of the list we place the enormous main salon, aft deck and the flying bridge. With a beam on a 44-footer of 21’7” (6.61 m) – how could it be any other way? Other things we like on the 44 are the fact that the master and VIP have beds that are athwartships, the galley has a household size refrigerator/freezer, and she has joysticks. More...

Regal 33 SAV:
Asymmetrical Design for Fishing or Fun

BOAT NAME
Regal 33 SAV

The Regal 33 SAV has an asymmetrical deck layout which allows this boat to be a jack of all trades. Because she has a baitwell, her transom seat folds out of the way and she has a wide port side deck, fish can be worked from bow to stern. Her U-shaped seating in the bow and the two bench seats in the stern create two entertaining areas for picnics and cocktails. And below decks she has a head, mini galley and berths for four people for overnight cruising. More...
