Beneteau Oceanis 62:
Luxury Plus a Mechanical Crew

Beneteau Oceanis 62
Beneteau Oceanis 62

The Oceanis Yacht 62 is designed for the owner who loves to sail in comfort, entertain friends on day-boat outings, and cruise far and wide with plenty of creature comforts with as many as three couples aboard. She is also intended to be sailed short-handed, and that includes when there is a boat load of landlubbers aboard. Her tall mast and asymmetrical spinnaker give her good light-air performance. She comes standard with powered self-tailing winches for sheets, halyards, and other lines, plus roller furling headsail and mainsail, which eliminates mainsail dousing hassle, and allows sail to be shortened easily. Ocean Alexander 90R:
Elegant Interiors from Evan K. Marshall

Ocean Alexander 90R
Ocean Alexander 90R

All yachts in-class might provoke a description of “elegance" with their lavish interiors, but the salon and dining area of the Ocean Alexander 90R are made particularly exciting because of the large side windows, light and decor from the Evan K. Marshall design studios in London. The full bar, to the right in this photo, is just that and has everything needed including dedicated tumbler storage. The dining table seats 8, and the galley is just a few steps forward for easy serving. More...

Formula 310 Bowrider:
Multi-Color LED Lighting w/Remote Control

Formula 310 Bowrider
Formula 310 Bowrider

LED lighting is becoming a standard feature on many upscale boats, including the Formula 310 Bowrider, as seen here. The LED’s not only light up the helm and cockpit but also the swim platform and the water nearby. A hand-held remote changes the light levels and can turn the lights from white to blue. LED’s are ideal for marine applications due to their low power use, cool operation, long bulb life and durable, waterproof construction. More...

Hatteras GT45X Flybridge:
Classic Palm Beach Style Helm

Hatteras GT45X Flybridge
Hatteras GT45X Flybridge

Both the flying bridge and the main deck helm of the Hatteras GT45X Flybridge have the classic Palm Beach setup, with a large one-piece stainless steel wheel and engine sticks widely separated, a design that works particularly well when the captain is facing backwards in backing down on a fish or docking. Joystick? Our captains don't need (or want) them. The console has more than enough room for the jumbo sonar/nav systems that give an advantage in finding the fish. Data from the twin Cat C-12.9 diesels feeds through the smaller screens just above the wheel. More...

Grady-White Freedom 325:
Keeping the Bilge Dry

Grady-White Freedom 325
All Grady-White Boats are built by craftsmen with self-bailing cockpits. All decks and boxes drain directly overboard by force of gravity, and not into a bilge or sump.

Nobody likes to see water in the bilge, even rainwater. After a couple of weeks, even it can get pretty skanky. This can be particularly bothersome on a family boat where comfort and enjoying the great outdoors is the objective. The Grady-White Freedom 325 is a large dual console intended to be used by the family for all sorts of activities. And to keep the bilge dry all rod holders, cup holders and even the pull-up cleats have little tubes that drain off water to the self-bailing cockpit or overboard. It’s a small detail, but it solves an annoying problem. More...
