Regal 33 SAV:
All Sports Activity Vessel

Regal 33 SAV
Regal 33 SAV

The Regal 33 SAV (Sports Activity Vessel™) is one of the most innovative and practical boats introduced this year, in our opinion. As its name implies, she has been designed for sports activities, and we’re hard-pressed to think of one that she can’t accomplish on the water. There is a real livewell, places for tackle boxes, rod holders, and rod racks. She has an opening side door that scuba divers will love. Bow seating with a table is for picnics and cocktails, and a filler cushion turns it into a sun pad. An aft facing seat in the cockpit can be used for spotting a wakeboarder who can be towed from the hardtop pylon. There are three seats at the helm for companion cruising, a grill and refrigerator in the cockpit for cookouts, and below is a head and two beds to sleep four. We think this boat is something special. Take a look...

Center Console Ready for Sun

Boston Whaler 230 Outrage
Boston Whaler 230 Outrage

Shade is at a premium in any center console, but not in the Boston Whaler 230 Outrage when the buyer opts for sunshades forward and aft, providing almost total sun protection from bow to stern. The supports for the shades fit in rod holders set into the gunwales. The table up front is removable, and can be folded down to become part of a sun lounge when shade is not the primary interest. This is one reason why Evinrude can offer 5 years of factory-backed coverage on the whole machine and the E-TEC G2 has a special 5-year warranty against corrosion. Boat Buying Tips:
What Hull Shape is Best?

Consumer Report
This is a boat that has a deep-V hull and it paid off in spades during our test heading into the Gulf Stream. But all boats aren’t going there at 30 mph, so what kind of bottoms do they need?

Once upon a time, most boaters thought the best hull was a deep-V. The result was that many boat builders started building deep-V bottoms even though they weren’t the best for every application, simply so they could tell customers their hulls were “deep-Vs”. And, it is why some builders describe their boats’ bottoms as “deep-V” when they really are not. While there are certainly applications that deep-V bottoms are called for, many boats are better off with other designs. More...
