Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht:
World-Cruising/Fishing Convertible

Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht
Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht

This summer, Riviera introduced its new 72 Sport Motor Yacht. She is a remarkable vessel because she can perform so many functions exceedingly well. She has one of the largest cockpits in class and can be fully equipped for big game fishing anywhere in the world. With an optional fuel capacity of 2,774 gal. (10,501 L), a hand-laid hull, and a tested displacement of 143,723 lb. (65,192 kg), she is able to make ocean passages as well as any specialized trawler or LRC. She comes with either three or four staterooms, and her enclosed sky lounge effectively gives her two salons. Our test boat was powered by twin 1900-hp MAN engines. Riviera can only build six of these yachts a year and one of them will be on display at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show this fall. More...

Boston Whaler 380 Outrage:
Redesigned Hull for Rough Water

Boston Whaler 380 Outrage
Boston Whaler 380 Outrage

When things are challenging at the inlet, the high freeboard, bow flair, 11’8” (3.56 m) beam and 23-degree deadrise of the new Boston Whaler 380 Outrage are hard to beat. In one of the roughest water tests that BoatTEST has ever conducted, our captain reported that the boat’s forward and amidships deep-V hull shape made the ride remarkably comfortable. He said that when crashing into 4-5 footers, he braced for the slam, but it never came. More...
