These days more and more builders are equipping their boats with the premium Fusion brand of speakers. Recently, they introduced redesigned Signature Series speakers to offer better performance and a sleeker look. These speakers now use an optimized magnet system to deliver leaner midrange frequencies, producing audio that is both louder and clearer, according to Fusion.

Three Sizes

The Fusion Signature Series speakers come in 6.5-, 7.7- and 8.8-inch models that deliver 230, 280 and 330 watts of power respectively. By combining proprietary ‘CURV’ Cone composite technology with a silk dome tweeter and sealed crossover components, Signature Series speakers deliver premium sound definition, higher output and excellent integrated acoustic performance, according to Fusion. Features include a large diameter voice coil, dual-color diffused LED lighting (in the Sports White and Sports Grey/Chrome models), high-grade engineered basket construction and water resistance rated to IP65.

Technology

The CURV cone construction is a woven fiber composite that is heat-pressed to form a tough, abrasion-resistant surface, according to Fusion. The manufacturer says it is impervious to moisture, and tolerant to UV exposure and temperature changes.
