42’-45’ Express Cruisers: Six Select Yachts for All Seasons
All six of these boats have been designed for a slight different purpose and market niche. For example, the Bavaria Virtess 420 Coupe, Riviera 445 SUV, and Cruisers Yachts 45 Cantius all have both galley and dinette "up," leaving the below decks spaces for sleeping. The Bavaria Sport 400 Coupe, Regal 42 Sport Coupe, and Hatteras 45 all have their galley’s “down.” The Bavaria Virtess 420 fits three staterooms below decks -- a master forward and two twin-berth cabins amidships, while the Riviera has a forward master and a three-berth "VIP cabin" amidships. The Hatteras 45 has a small optional stateroom with bunks or a Pullman berth to port that is obviously designed for fishing buddies or a small family. What all of the boats have in common is a snug deckhouse with a helm. And all six boats are designed for on-deck living, dining, and small cocktail parties. Four boats have two heads. Four boats have pod drive systems, the Bavaria Sport 400 Coupe offers gas or diesel sterndrives, and the Hatteras 45 has conventional straight shaft drives.
