33’-35’ Express Cruisers: Four of a Kind

Where these boats differ are in weight and horsepower. Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 35 is the lightest of the four boats, at 11,700 lbs. (5,307 kg). Cruisers Yacht’s 350 Express is the heaviest, weighing 16,500 lbs. (7,484 kg) with gas power (17,500 with diesels.) Weight usually makes a boat more comfortable in choppy water. But weight demands more power. While the Beneteau has twin engines up to 300-hp each, Cruisers offers gas and diesel options up to twin 380-hp. The 13,470-pound (6,110 kg) Formula, with power options to twin 430-hp, should be fastest if you don’t spare the horses; her 21-degree deadrise should make her comfortable, too. The Chaparral 330 Signature weighs 12,900 lbs. (5,851 kg), can run gas or diesel to twin 350-hp.
