Sunseeker 75 Yacht:
4 Staterooms w/ En Suite Heads
-- Plus Crew Space!

Sunseeker 75 Yacht
Huge hullside windows pull lots of light into the salon as well as the sleeping areas of the striking Sunseeker 75 Yacht.

We are impressed with the elegant Sunseeker 75 Yacht's floorplan that offers four staterooms with en suite heads, plus crew quarters. An optional layout eliminates one cabin and enlarges the master quarters. On the main deck she has perhaps the largest salon in class as well as having a formal dining area -- which we think every motoryacht of this caliber should have. The vast sun pad forward and raised gunwales create a remarkably useful space that provides a bowrider effect where guests can safely relax while the yacht is underway in calm seas. More...

Bayliner 190 DB:
Value-Priced Outboard Deckboat

Bayliner 190 DB
The Bayliner 190 DB is a new outboard-powered deckboat, providing added usable space both for seating and storage compared to the company's I/O lineup.

By creating both an integral platform in the stern and adding a standard, extra-long swim platform port and starboard, the Bayliner 190 DB provides the area needed to make the stern user-friendly for tow sports. A lift-out tote bag in the port seating can be converted to a Porta-Potti space, unusual in a boat of this size. More...

Beneteau Gran Turismo 38:
Practical Luxury in an Express Cruiser

Beneteau Gran Turismo 38
The dinette on the Beneteau Gran Turismo 38, opposite the galley, has a small table that will convert the L-lounge into a berth. Joinery is either Alpi Walnut or mahogany, with beige leather-texture vinyl coverings overhead and parquet sole.

The master in the Beneteau Gran Turismo 38 has an average 6'3" (1.91 m) of headroom and lots of windows both in the hullsides and overhead, offering bright and roomy accommodations that's much more welcoming than some in express cruisers of this LOA. The center helm is a distinguishing feature, but one that our reviewers found useful and attractive both for the captain and guests. More...

Boston Whaler 420 Outrage:
Premium Level Cruising and
Entertainment Platform

Boston Whaler 420 Outrage
The flip-up seat back converts the forward sun pad into a comfortable couch within reach of the optional electrically-actuated teak table on the bow of the Boston Whaler 420 Outrage.

The Boston Whaler 420 Outrage takes creature comforts to a level never before seen on this stalwart fishing brand. She’ll fish the canyons for days and just as easily convert to hosting cocktail parties, and then transition to a family cruiser heading to a distant hidey-hole -- and once there she can serve as a dive platform. A "summer kitchen" -- as Boston Whaler calls it -- is available in the cockpit, and flip-out seats quickly convert the cockpit from serious fishing to a party deck. Below deck, V-seating wraps around a hinged high-low table large enough for six. AC is standard. More...

Chaparral 250 SunCoast OB:
51.5 MPH WOT with 300-hp Outboard

Chaparral 250 SunCoast OB
With outboard power, the Chaparral 250 SunCoast OB adds interior space compared to an I/O without sacrificing performance or handling.

Powered with a 300 Yamaha, the Chaparral 250 Suncoast OB leaped on plane in 3 seconds flat in our test runs. She leaned a comfortable 11-degrees into the turns and showed no tendency towards chine walking or falling off the turn. Her minimal bowrise on acceleration produced no loss of visibility from the seated position. With a 20-degree deadrise at the transom, she should deliver a comfortable ride in chop. More...

Cruisers Yachts 338 Bow Rider:
A Crossover Bowrider with High Style

Cruisers Yachts 338 Bow Rider
There's lots of storage under the seats of the Cruisers Yachts 338 Bow Rider, and note the wide, double action hinges, making it much easier to add or retrieve items from storage.

The Cruisers Yachts 338 Bow Rider can host a small army of friends for cruising. She also functions very nicely for picnics, grilling or towing watersports by day, and can be a sunset cocktail platform in the evening. She has an overnight cabin cruiser with sleeping and living accommodations large enough for a couple -- all of this and she's able to tackle blue water as well as the largest inland lakes. She shows an impressive level of fit and finish, including the leather-wrapped wheel with color matched accent stitching and classy, quilted padding on the bulwarks, stitched with thread that matches the accent colors throughout the cockpit. Evinrude E-TEC 90 Pontoon Series:
Purpose-Built Performance for Pontoons

Evinrude E-TEC 90 Pontoon Series
A fitting on the back of the Evinrude E-TEC 90 Pontoon Series makes for quick flushing after use in saltwater, and the engine doesn't even have to be running to clean out the internal passages.

The Evinrude E-TEC 90 Pontoon Series outboard is a purpose-built outboard designed with the high-torque needed to get bulky pontoon boats underway. The 320 lbs (145 kg) 2-stroke is lightest outboard in class, and 2.36:1 gearing gives strong hole shots as well as improved reverse and stopping power. An 81 Amp magneto supplies all the power needed for the engine and onboard accessories. More...

Formula 290 Bowrider:
Bowrider with Racing Genes

Formula 290 Bowrider
The roomy aft cockpit of the Formula 290 Bowrider offers plenty of space to party, and there's seating for six more up front. A removable table is available.

The aft cockpit in the Formula 290 Bowrider can seat up to eight, thanks to flip-back seats at the consoles, adding to the party-time seating when the backs are moved to the forward position. A wet bar with Corian top and an available electric refrigerator is located on the starboard side here, adjacent to the pass-through to the oversize swim platform. More...

Glastron GTS 225:
51.4 MPH WOT with 270-hp Sterndrive

Glastron GTS 225
The Glastron GTS 225 features retro lines combined with modern graphics, presenting lots of eye appeal in a competitively-priced bowrider package.

Powered with a 270-hp Volvo Penta V8 sterndrive, the Glastron GTS 225 delivered impressive performance in our test runs, topping out at 51.4 mpg. Best cruise is at 2500 rpm, going 19.8 mph, getting 3.9 mpg. This is an unusually low rpm for best cruise. At 3000 rpm she went 27.5 mph getting 3.8 mpg -- so that's where most people will cruise her. Turning a 19" pitch prop, she had a remarkably quick hole shot of just 3.1 seconds, and reached 30 mph in 7.9 seconds. More...

Mercury MerCruiser 4.5L 250 HP:
New Lightweight, High-Tech V6

Mercury MerCruiser 4.5L 250 HP
Daily checks are simple on the MerCruiser 4.5L 250-hp, with all checkpoints positioned on top and at the front of the engine.

Mercury says that the larger footprint mounts on their MerCruiser 4.5L 250-hp will absorb more vibration from the engine and result in less of it being transmitted into the boat’s structure. A new, lighter-weight flywheel is being used; this increases engine throttle response and is claimed to decrease shift clunk when going in and out of gear. A cross-ram, tuned scroll runner design lengthens the intake runners which results in greater torque at low rpm and quicker planning times, according to Mercury. More...

MJM 40z:
Classic Downeaster with Advanced Build

MJM 40z
With handsome Downeaster lines, plenty of speed and a wave-splitting hull, the MJM 40z is a good choice for bluewater cruising as well as for extended trips on the ICW.

With a relatively narrow beam of 12'(3.7 m) and a 19-degree deadrise, the MJM 40z should deliver an exceptional ride in rough water. She's built to take it too, thanks to construction including wet prepreg epoxy, Kevlar, E-glass and Corecell composite which is vacuum set and oven post cured for a very durable but relatively lightweight hull. MJM says she is built to CE "A" standard, which is unusual for a powerboat. More...

TAHOE 500 TS:

Tahoe 500 TS
The Tahoe 500 TS is one of the newest boats in the TAHOE lineup, boasting the POWERGLIDE II bottom and a 4.3L MPI MerCruiser V6 all for $28,495 with a matching trailer included.

Powered by a 220-hp MerCruiser 4.3L MPI, the TAHOE 500 TS reached an impressive 49.7 mph in our test runs. Her most economical cruise came in at 2500 rpms and 24.2 mph, where she averaged 5.0 mpg. She's exceptionally quick on her feet, jumping on top in a scant 2.3 seconds -- times comparable to many PWCs. More...
