Beneteau Gran Turismo 35:
An Open, Day Boat Express

Beneteau Gran Turismo 35
The Beneteau Gran Turismo 35 has a LOA of 37’7” (11.5 m), a beam of 11’1” (3.4 m) and she draws 2’9” (.84 m). She is designed for day-boating activities, but has both overnight, and short cruise capabilities.

Let’s face facts… we all have dreams of cruising off to distant locations and spending extended time on our boats. But the reality is that rarely do we get the time to do this and as such, our cruising boats are largely used for simple day jaunts to the beach or quiet cove, or sight-seeing along the coast before heading back to the dock. Sure, once a summer or so we can sleep aboard -- but why devote so much space to sleeping accommodations if they are rarely used? In the case of the Beneteau Gran Turismo 35, we have a boat that caters to the day trippers with a hint of overnighting thrown in, and we find that the combination is refreshing. More...

Chaparral H2O 21 Sport:
Value-Oriented Package

Chaparral H2O 21 Sport
While maintaining the company's noted build-quality, the Chaparral H2O 21 Sport offers a lower base price than most other models in the Chaparral stable.

The Chaparral H2O 21 Sport has the same high-standard hull construction as the company's premium lines but is available at a lower price thanks to the elimination of some nice-but-not-necessary features and amenities. However, it still includes standard power steering, a top-end stereo with Sirius XM, MP3 and CD player, full instrumentation with stainless bezels and fog resistant lenses -- all riding on a factory-matched trailer. Cruisers Sport Series 238 Bow Rider:
Big Boat Ride & Quality Features

Cruisers Sport Series 238 Bow Rider
With the heft and feel of a larger boat, the Cruisers Sport Series 238 Bow Rider delivers a solid ride and strong performance throughout the rpm range.

The Cruisers Sport Series 238 Bow Rider has a 21-degree deadrise at the transom and a single step in the hull amidships. Our test captain reports the bottom design made the boat feel light and agile when on plane, with tight, controllable hard over turns and good performance from hole shot to top-end. Yet, when it came to plowing though waves, she did it with authority. The Cruisers Sport Series 238 Bow Rider topped out at 44.8 mph with the new 250-hp MerCruiser 4.5L sterndrive and has a broad band of efficient cruise speeds between 3000 and 4000 rpms, where she delivered 3.5 to 3.6 mpg. Design & Style Review

Formula 310 Sun Sport:
Luxury Day Boat with Speed

Formula 310 Sun Sport
The Formula 310 Sun Sport combines clever convertible cockpit furniture with premium-grade fabrics to provide both comfort and practicality in a highly versatile space.

With an aft couch seat that drops flat to create a sun pad extending all the way to the swim platform, the Formula 310 Sun Sport makes good use of cockpit space while still reserving plenty of square footage for a broad, comfortable cabin area up front. Lots of plush seats below with skylights overhead will make this a pleasant area for lunch around the maple-wood table, and the area easily converts to a broad berth for overnighting. More...

Manitou 23 X-Plode SHP:
A Premium Watersports Platform

Manitou 23 X-Plode
The unique bottom setup of the Manitou 23 X-Plode SHP creates a high-performance pontoon boat that gives up nothing in the comfort and convenience departments.

The Manitou 23 X-Plode SHP combines deckboat performance with pontoon boat space and comfort in a family watersports package with room. The boat's bottom design, setting the center pontoon lower than the outside tubes, creates a planing hull that leans into hard turns like a vee bottom, and that also softens waves from ahead. Nitro Z-9:
70 MPH Out of the Box with Mercury 250

Nitro Z-9
The Nitro Z-9 has the power, speed, and handling characteristics along with the fishing features that the pros expect in a full-sized tournament rig, and the price/value component competes effectively with much higher priced rigs.

The Nitro Z-9 includes tournament-ready features including a pair of 20-gallon aft livewells, fully insulated and with timed aeration, a 10'' adjustable jackplate, Lowrance HDS 7 GPS/Sonar flush-mounted in the dash, and lighted 8' rod boxes, plus a standard Motor Guide 24-volt trolling motor at the bow. Our tests showed an impressive 70 mph top end with a Mercury 250 right out of the box, and no doubt a bit of tweaking with a different prop would push this speed several mph higher. More...

Beneteau Oceanis 41:
Spacious Cockpit / Maximum Room Below

Beneteau Oceanis 41
The Beneteau Oceanis 41 carries her maximum beam right to the transom to create a huge watersports platform and seating for 10 people in the cockpit.

When sailing most people spend most of their time in the cockpit and that is why the Oceanis 41's is so large. Below, the wide beam pays off again in good-sized beds and plenty of room in the salon. The boat's hull shape also creates stability and a moderate heeling angle even in a fresh breeze. Explore our full test and review as we look at these and many more features she has to offer. Sailfish 275DC:
Dual-Console, Fisherman or Bowrider

Sailfish 275DC
The Sailfish 275DC has a variable-deadrise stepped hull that gives a smooth, dry ride in tough sea conditions, as well as plenty of speed when things flatten out.

With an impressive gunwale height and one of the deepest cockpits in the industry, the Sailfish 275DC kept our test crew dry during our test runs, and the hull delivered a soft re-entry when taking on steep waves. Our test captain reports handling was smooth and responsive in hard-over turns, and she leveled off quickly, with minimal roll, while maintaining her speed. More...
