This one was taken from my boat, moored in Mansion House Bay, Kawau Island in Auckland New Zealand's Hauraki Gulf. Took the photo yesterday, a late-summer early evening shot with very light rain falling on a mirror-calm bay. The House on shore was the residence of Sir George Grey, Governor of New Zealand 1845-53, 1861-68. It's a very popular anchorage for boaties, with beautiful walks around the island, which measures 8km by 5km at its longest axis and has a population of c70.
