Brief Summary

**NOTE: 3/22/04. The Classic is an updated version of the 2900 Open we originally tested several years ago. New features include a standard hardtop. Please check www.tiarayachts.com for complete specifications. Performance test results data supplied by Tiara.

The Tiara 2900 Open is a well-built, comfortable boat with plenty of room for family and guests. She is also rugged enough for the serious sportsfisherman and thanks to her 11’4” beam she has extra stability.

Key Features

Space in the cockpit is always a plus especially when you’re fighting a fish and in this boat you get 60 square feet of it. The cabin is bright and airy thanks to partial bulkheads and four opening ports. The 2900 can sleep four: two in the forward berth and two in the cabin, as the dinette converts into a double berth. The galley comes equipped with a dual-voltage refrigerator, cook top and microwave oven. Captain's Report

The Tiara 2900 Open is a versatile, reasonably priced 29-footer. She is a well-built package ideal for family fun, while substantial enough for serious fishing action. At 10,700 pounds, she’s quick to jump up on plane, and fuel-efficient to boot. The hull and decks on the boat are hand laid — the resulting surface is smooth as glass, with no distortion or finish blemishes. It’s a long-term payoff, since these structures are much less likely to suffer from stress cracking, blistering, or delamination problems in later years. The 2900 Open really comes alive when you fire up its twin 320-hp Crusaders. You’ll cruise comfortably at 30.2 mph; but when it’s time to impress your friends, push the throttles forward for a top end of 35.8 mph. Fuel consumption at best cruise is just 27-gph; 50-gallons wide open for a maximum cruising range of about 200 miles. With plenty of room and amenities for family and guests, she’s also rugged enough for the serious sport fisherman. And best of all, she’s priced to make it easy for you to join the Tiara family. For more information call Tiara Yachts or visit www.tiarayachts.com.
