Captain's ReportTested by Capt. Chris KellyThe Rinker 410 Fiesta Vee is the largest express cruiser the company makes. She features comfortable overnight accommodations for up to three couples and sports loads of outstanding features and amenities that enable you to take extended cruising to an all new level. At the HelmThe helm features seating for three and the captain’s seat features a flip-up bolster. All the gauges and rocker switches are set in a burl-wood panel and are kept neatly in the line of sight. Shifter and throttle controls are close at hand on either side of the large stainless steel wheel. Standard on this vessel is the Raymarine RL80RC 10” chart plotter and Tridata display. There are also two chart tables that help keep everything close at hand. To port of the helm is the wet bar area, which features an icemaker and refrigerator, trash container, freshwater sink, a built-in blender for frozen cocktails and loads of storage. One of the great features on this boat is the way space has been used wisely. Here behind the helm seat is another counter, with enough room for setting up dinner and cocktails. And for those who plan to do some extended cruising, this trash compactor makes easy work of the job.CockpitThe lower aft cockpit has a large U-shaped bench seat with removable table for entertaining. Another feature I liked was the placement of stereo controls and needed breaker switches back here, along with the abundant storage space. Also found back here is access to the engine compartment.Engine AccessI found it convenient to get to the twin Mercury 8.1 L H.O. engines. It’s a little tricky getting into the compartment since there isn’t a ladder, but once down here there, I found plenty of room for maintenance and checks. The transom features a trunk which raises electrically and provides storage for fenders, shore power cords, and even a gas grill. The swim platform is wide enough to store a dinghy using the supplied davits, and the swim ladder makes getting in and out of the water easy. There is also a hot and cold shower back here with adequate handrails for support. I found getting up to the bow was easy using the stairs and walk-thru windshield here at the helm. There is a chaise lounge up here with a tilting backrest, which is sure to be a favorite spot when at anchor. All the way forward the anchor locker is molded into the cabin top for a clean appearance and also houses the windlass. Below DeckThe cabin on the 410 is wide open and features a large L-shaped galley to port. There are beautiful cherry wood cabinets and plenty of counter space to work. It features a 2-burner electric stove top and oven, and large refrigerator/freezer with 20” flat screen TV above. Over to starboard is the salon seating. It is comprised of a sofa and loveseat that reclines, and can easily convert into a double berth. Behind the sofa is the ships electrical panel and entertainment center. And when it’s time to clean house there is a central vacuum in this compartment.StateroomsThe forward stateroom features a large island berth with plenty of storage overhead and two large hanging lockers. There is plenty of light and ventilation, and there is also a built-in TV for your entertainment.Behind the galley to port is the head. There is a nice sized countertop here with sink and overhead cabinets for storage. There is also a Vacu-flush toilet and teak flooring for easy cleaning. And behind these doors is the ships washer/dryer to help extend your vacation. The aft stateroom is to starboard and provides a large berth that can sleep two. It features a hanging locker for storage and there is even a climate control for the ac unit. And this bench seat can serve as a child’s bunk or a bench seat for getting dressed.SpecsThe 410 Fiesta Vee is 43’ 6’’ long and 13’10’’ wide, and draws 38”. With 300 gallons of fuel and 100 gallons of water, a couple of nights away from the dock won’t be a problem.Performance NumbersOut on the test track, we hit a top speed of 34.1 mph at full throttle, and cruised most economically just under 24 mph, burning 36.8 gph for a range of 174 miles.
