Regal 38 Express (2011-)
The new Regal 38 is an updated version of the old 3760 Commodore which we tested several years ago with twin gas 8.1L engines. For 2011, Regal has created a private forward cabin, tweaked the interior and other details on the boat and is installing optional twin Volvo Penta 260-hp diesel engines. Diesels make the 38 more appealing to boaters all over the world and this builder has always been internationally-oriented.

Sound levels determined using Radio Shack digital decibel meter on A scale. 68 dBA is the level of normal conversation. Time to plane is measured from start of acceleration to formation of rooster tail behind boat.
