Two to Tango
This 10-foot wave rocket offers full-throttle fun with a 135-HP motor that’s supported by space-age 23-function instrumentation.
Turn It On
The Virage TXi will provide a fun day on the water with 76% less exhaust emissions, a lower noise signature and 35% better fuel economy than its predecessors.
For sports-loving, power-hungry thrill seekers, the Polaris Virage TXi is a ticket to paradise. Whether you want to pull wakeboarders, run slalom courses, or just speed around the docks all day, the newest incarnation of the famous Virage line of PWCs gives you the power and performance to play on the water whatever your game is.
Polaris starts with its own direct-injection 135-hp gas engine and locks it into a super-sturdy deep-V hull made of sheet molded compound. With all that power and stability below, the 10-foot wave rocket gets packed into a sleek 4-foot beam: A design that produces lightning-fast starts and razor-sharp turns. What makes the Virage TXi a one-of-a-kind sportster however, is the Polaris Bat Ride Plate, a specially designed deck that delivers better stainless steel hook-ups for skiers, higher top speeds, and a much drier ride than conventional designs. This clever architecture not only means more thrills on the water, it means more safety for everyone involved.
All this power and design promises exhilarating rides to skiers, wakeboarders, and kneeboarders, and with a maximum weight capacity of 500 pounds, there’s plenty of room behind you for another passenger or two. This Virage has a fuel capacity of 17 gallons, which gives you a lot of time between pit stops. And you get 32 gallons of storage space in the bow and under the seat so you can stash food and drinks for everyone during those long days on the water.
The helm is designed for smooth driving and quick responses. With 23-function instrumentation, including speedo, tach, clock, and fuel and oil levels, every piece of data you’ll need is right in front of you in one easy glance. Because the Virage turns a lot of heads, there’s also a theft-deterrent system that comes standard with every model – another kind of safety feature that goes unfulfilled by other manufacturers.
Polaris has responded to the growing environmental criticisms of PWCs by making the Virage TXi one the most eco-safe water jets on the market. The Virage delivers a whopping 76 percent less exhaust emissions, which allowed it to pass EPA 2006 and CARB 2001 emissions requirements. It also boasts 35 percent better fuel efficiency than former models, giving you much more mileage for the buck.
While most go-fast PWCs kick up a lot of noise – and complaints – the Virage TXi comes standard with the new Planet Sound Reduction system, which reduces exhaust noise by more than 60 percent. Now everyone will admire your machine, instead being annoyed by it.
There’s been a rebirth of environmentally friendly – yet wickedly powerful – PWCs sweeping the industry, and the Polaris Virage TXi is the first of that new next generation. It delivers intense performance and staggering agility, while ensuring the safety of all those who ride with you. Combining power, maneuverability and tons of sporty features, this watercraft is built for those who like their engines fast, their throttles quick, and their hearts pounding.
