Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB Snapshot

Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB cockpit table
The table in the cockpit seen here in cocktail mode folds out and can seat 8 people for al fresco dining.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB awning
We like (and recommend) the optional electrically-actuated awning that extends from the lip of the coach roof cockpit overhang. Red arrows indicate the sheathing that fairs the overhang when the awning is not deployed.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB teak helm
There is a lot to like about the 50 Eastbay FB’s helm, starting with the full-teak treatment for which the company is famous. Note the clean console, the two large navigation screens and the side door at right.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB pantograph door
The weather-proof pantograph side door even has a red and green light to indicate the door's status. Note the green light is on.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB autopilot
On the double-wide Stidd helm seat is a remote autopilot on the left arm rest. Now this is the only way to drive a powerboat!
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB joystick
On the right side is the boat's joystick, handy to the side door where the captain can stand when backing in to a slip.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB gas assist pedestals
Under the helm seat are two gas-assist pedestals that can raise or lower the helm seat for captain and companion. Note the fold-down foot rests.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB settee
In the salon the settee is built-in, thus saving space and weight. The deck is teak and holly, not synthetic.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB sofa
Opposite the dinette settee is a large sofa for three. Taken together, the salon can seat 7 to 8 people and more with the stools.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB galley down
The galley is down but open overhead to the main cabin to keep the cook within ear-shot of salon conversations. This design floods the galley with light and allows heat to rise. Note the counter work space and the fact that two people can be in the galley at once.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB microwave
Looking aft in the galley we see that the microwave oven is at what we would consider the perfect height, something that is unusual in a boat. Refrigerator and freezer drawers are underneath.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB guest stateroom
The guest stateroom is huge for this size boat and is entered through double doors opposite the galley. In this way when the owners are aboard alone, they can open up the doors to provide more walk-around space. Its private entrance to the guest head/day head can be seen at left.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB teak guest stateroom
Flaked by night stands and surrounded by teak bulkheads and joiner work, this guest stateroom is about as large and as comfortable as possible in class.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB master stateroom
The master stateroom is forward and the 50 Eastbay FB has done a good job of providing storage space with the four drawers below the bed and utilizing the bow flare for small cabinets overhead.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB flying bridge
On the flying bridge the 50 Eastbay FB has pretty much all of the basic controls that appear at the lower station.
Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB helm seats
Here we have the Stidd helm and companion seats that are de rigueur on boats of this type.
    Grand Banks 50 Eastbay FB
Behind the helm there is an L-shaped settee with table which is sure to be a popular place for guests to ride when underway.
