All fuel consumption numbers are the total for all engines in the boat. Speeds are measured with Stalker ProSports radar gun or GPS. Fuel consumption (gallons per hour) measured with Floscan digital fuel-flow meter or by on-board factory-installed diagnostic instruments. Range is based on 90% of published fuel capacity. Sound levels determined using Radio Shack digital decibel meter on A scale. 68 dBA is the level of normal conversation. Time to plane is measured from start of acceleration to formation of rooster tail behind boat.

Captain's Report

One of the visual pleasures of the 225 CC is that while she’s a traditional center console (which will appeal to the saltiest fisherman) the company has taken the time and money to design and tool a boat with sweeping curves, large radius moldings, and numerous recessed hatches with a top-quality fit and finish.A head compartment is unusual on a 22-footer, but that is not the only innovation here. The forward casting platform is roomy with extra high inwales to keep everyone secure. The aft cockpit measures a spacious 22-square feet. Just forward of the outboard well is a standard sink and deep, live baitwell. A pair of flush-mount rod holders are positioned in each covering board, with extra-long horizontal polymer racks mounted underneath for gaffs, tagging sticks and back-up outfits. The recessed cleats also minimize snags. Twin pedestal seats are standard, however if you are planning on some serious offshore work, you should consider the optional leaning post. Not only is it more comfortable, but it also has four rocket launchers and a 94-quart Igloo cooler. At the helm there’s plenty of space to mount a complete array of fishing electronics and engine gauges. Below, the head compartment provides access to batteries, wiring, and the back of your console panel for easy electronics installations. Powered by a single 200-hp Yamaha HPDI outboard, our test boat ran a top speed of 43.5 mph at 5400 rpm, with a best cruise was at 23.8 mph at 3000 rpm. At that speed she has a range of 460 nautical miles and gets an unbelievable 4.25 mpg.Like all EdgeWater boats, the 225 CC has a transferable lifetime hull warranty.
