Crestliner LSi 2885 (Not in Production) Line Drawing
Plenty of room for the family on this pontoon.
Crestliner LSi 2885By Capt. Chris KourtakisWhat happens when a manufacturer sets out to deliver a luxurious pontoon that also quenches your thirst for speed? The Crestliner 2885 is born. The 2885 LSi is Crestliner’s largest, top-of-the- line pontoon which combines speed, cruising comfort and executive features. Whether you are looking to cruise with friends or pull a skier, this pontoon allows you to do both without the third tube in the middle. The lifetime warranty gives you the added confidence and reassurance for as long as you own the boat. Every detail has been covered by Crestliner: the painted upper portion of the pontoon, the rub rail with integrated rope and integrated navigational lights, in addition to docking lights are great finishing touches to this luxury pontoon.Comfort and LuxuryAt the bow of the boat, you will find lockable storage compartments with integrated cup holders. The reclining bow chairs insure that your guests are comfortable throughout the journey. If my wife would allow me, I would have two of these chairs in my living room during football season. The double facing benches in the front are high backed and plush for an evening cruise with the family, and they allow even the tallest of people to comfortably take a nap on a hot summer’s day. Some of the other important luxury features of the bench seats are underneath the padding. The double hinged seats are easy to access and have self draining channels to keep all of your gear dry, while the vents in the bottom of the seats help make sure that your seats will last for years. Additional seat storage is located in the front panel of the starboard bench seat, and this storage conveniently allows you access to your gear without anyone having to move. For the CaptainThe captain is treated to a well-outfitted helm station. All of the gauges are logically arranged to help you keep your eyes on the water. The aircraft style toggle switches illuminate at night for easy viewing. The tilt wheel and plush captain’s chair gives you added comfort for long cruise. The front of the helm keeps everything neat and clean with the integrated garbage can and built-in sink.No pontoon is complete without a sun pad, and Crestliner has redefined what a sun pad should be. The large two person wide sun pad with a built-in plush pillow lets you take in the rays in style and comfort. The L-shaped seating area with removable table is a quick set up and gives 4-6 adults a comfortable place to play cards as well as enjoy their favorite on water meal. The walkway to the swim platform is easy to use and has a safety gate at the end. Once through the gate, the industry’s only integrated swim platform has enough room to get ready for your favorite water sport, or hooking up a tow line to the standard ski eye. The 3-step stainless steel boarding ladder is effortless to use once you are done carving up the water.Once you are out of the water, you may need a place to dry off and change clothes, for that there is the pop-up changing room which is located under the sun pad.Performance and HandlingOur test boat was equipped with the optional MerCruiser 350 MAG which helped it hum along the water with a cruising speed of 21.6 mph and a top end speed of 41.2 mph turning 5000 rpm. For a 28-foot pontoon she handled the top end speeds as good as, if not better than, many runabouts.
