The Fun Chaser FGP 2100 has an LOA of 21'4" (6.50 m) and a 8'6" (2.59 m) beam and an approximate weight of 3,375 lbs. (1,534 kgs.) without the engine and dry.
The Fun Chaser FGP 2100’s mission is to build a boat for the growing number of pontoon boat buyers entering the market made with a material that these boaters are familiar with -- fiberglass. Now saltwater buyers will have no worries about aluminum corrosion and because of the boat's twin hull design it will have much more storage compartments than an aluminum pontoon boat.
Because the hull is fiberglass it is easy for the builder to mold in a hard chine to knock down the spray without affecting performance.
By eliminating the aluminum pontoons and sub-decking aluminum connective structure the FGP 2100 becomes a hybrid of what we would consider a catamaran-like skiff for the hull, and pontoon boat fencing and seating for the topsides. The result should be a boat that is as stable as an aluminum pontoon boat, and with all of the potential interior amenities of a pontoon boat. Indeed, the FGP 2100's seating arrangement is pretty much what we have come to expect in conventional pontoon boats.
No Plywood. In addition to having quite a bit more storage than aluminum pontoon boats, by not having a plywood deck Carolina Skiff has eliminated one of the big concerns many consumers have about aluminum pontoon boats. (Consumer caveat: Virtually all builders of pontoon boats with plywood decks guarantee the plywood against rot for the lifetime of the boat.)
More Weight. Perhaps the biggest distinguishing factor between aluminum and fiberglass is weight. Not only are aluminum boats less costly to tool, they are also far lighter. For example, we checked five other well-known brand 21' aluminum pontoon boats and discovered that they weigh from 1,600 lbs. to 2,490 lbs. (636 kgs. to 1,000 kgs.), dry, and without engine. That means they are all considerably lighter that the 3,375 lb. (1,534 kgs.) Fun Chaser FGP 2100 -- from 885 lbs. to 1,775 lbs. (269 kgs. to 806 kgs.) lighter.

Four hatches in the bow permit some storage in hull compartments.
More Storage. Because the 2100 has a fiberglass hull the builder is able to use pretty much any of it which can be accessed for below deck storage. As a result there is a hatch on the port side where the wheelchair boarding gate is that leads to a large compartment below. Further a hatch directly abaft the helm seat and another one in the aft deck and one on the bow centerline offer more hull storage.
Because the couches and helm occupy the real estate outboard, the builder is not able to make any more use of the large hull shapes.
The helm seat is adjustable and is close by the aft gate for easy single-handing.
The table is standard, goes aft opposite the captain and has a dedicated locker.
Forward seating port and starboard is pretty standard for these types of boats.
Both the hull and the deck are "composite" construction, according to the builder. That means a separating media such as PVC foam or other material has been used to create a sandwich construction. This saves weight and creates stiffness at the same time. It is typically how fiberglass boat builders build their decks and hull sides.
Fencing is said to be composite material as well, with stainless steel rails. All hardware is stainless steel, according to the builder. The bases for the seats and the seats themselves are made of composite materials to make sure nothing rots or soaks up water over time.
No boat would be complete without a privacy curtain.
The ss towing arch on the 2100 is substantial and standard.
We like the port boarding gate because it is extra wide in order to be able to handle a wheelchair.
The Fun Chaser FGP 2100 has quite a bit of standard equipment. In fact, we think it is one of the strong aspects of the boat. Some items that caught our eye are--

The helm has all of the instruments needed as well as a removable windscreen. The wheel tilts as standard.
For boaters who like fiberglass boats and are concerned about aluminum care, the Fun Chaser FGP 2100 should be investigated. There is nothing like turning a garden hose on a fiberglass deck after a party to get rid of the potato chips and other debris. Also, scuff marks on the hull are easy to repair and hide.
But it seems that few positive aspects in a boat come without a negative side, and in this case it is the added weight of the FGP 2100 compared to other boats in class. On the other hand, when we check the person carrying capacity of this boat compared with aluminum boats in class we find that it is about the same or slightly more.
In the end it is unfair to compare this boat to aluminum boats. It is sort of like comparing a monohull fishing boat with a catamaran fishing boat. They both can get the job done, they just do it in a slightly different way.
Blue lights are cool, so the Fun Chaser FGP 2100 should be a popular place on the lake at night.
