    Captain's Report

    Azimut Atlantis 43
The new Azimut Atlantis 43 has an LOA of 45'5" (13.86 m), including the swim platform and pulpit and a beam of 13'11" (4.25 m) and with a full load and twin Volvo Penta D6 sterndrives displaces 28,600 lbs. (12,973 kg).
    Azimut Atlantis 43
Note the port side entrance up two steps to the aft deck and side deck and the starboard steps up to the starboard side deck.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The mid cabin has its own private head as well as the option of a third bed to port. The forward stateroom has a separate shower stall.

As can be seen in the drawings above, the Azimut Atlantis 43 incorporates both on-deck and accommodations utility for sunning and entertaining as well as comfortable cruising. Her double-wide seat insures that guests can sit looking forward while underway. Just behind this seat is a wet bar with enough counter space for an optional BBQ grill. Both her stern and forward sun pads are large enough for three adults.Below decks there are several noteworthy features--

    • The mid cabin has two twin beds that can be moved together to form one large bed. Also, there is the option for a third bed to port. Note that the head is forward and can be used as a day head if desired and there is a separate shower stall with the toilet under a seat.

    • The forward stateroom has full standing headroom and two large hanging lockers. The master head has a separate shower stall.

    • The master bed tilts up to access a large storage compartment which is ideal for storing luggage as well as access to the optional bow thruster.

    • Large, modern hull side windows flood light into the cabins below.

Since the boat has yet to be launched, performance can only be speculative, but the builder states that the WOT speed is expected to be 33 knots when powered by twin 400-hp Volvo Penta D6 diesels. This boat is propelled by twin DuoProp sterndrives which are both fuel and cost effective. The engines are located under the stern sun pad which lifts up to reveal a tender garage. Fuel capacity will be 237 U.S. gallons (900 L). The boat has a V-bottom shape and has 15-degrees of deadrise at the transom.

Perhaps the most important aspect of the helm is that the captain can stand at the helm and pilot the boat without having to open the sunroof for headroom.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The builder has solved the problem of guests not being able to sit facing forward that we find on most boats in class. Here we see that companions can sit facing forward, with the added advantage of the seat bottom opening up to create an interior sun pad.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
Note the single-piece windshield and the relatively small window mullion forward. These two elements maximize visibility forward.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The entertainment center in the cockpit has lots of counter space to handle not only food prep and function as a side board, it can also handle a top-loading cooler, sink and grill. A refrigerator or trash container can go under the grill.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
Virtually all Azimuts are designed for lots of sun bathing, and this Atlantis 43 is no exception. The swim platform is large and can easily launch all sorts of watersports.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The tender garage is under the sun pad and above the engine room.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
By installing a hydraulic lift, the swim platform turns into a teak beach and tender-launching platform.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
Buyers of the Azimut Atlantis 43 will have the freedom to select prestigious Italian designer fabrics, by Missoni, Armani, and Loro Piana.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The large side windows have opening portlights for ventilation. Note the storage cabinets above.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The galley with a two-burner stove top is opposite the settee.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The master stateroom is in the bow and in addition to the large side windows, it also features two large hanging lockers, one of which can be seen at left.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The master head has a fully enclosed separate shower stall.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The mid cabin can be arranged several different ways, depending on the guests aboard. Note there is full standing headroom at the entrance to the cabin and at the foot of the beds, as can be seen in the upper right corner of the image.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
When a queen-size bed is wanted, one of the twins easily slides aft.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
On the port side, the builder offers a third bed as an option.
    Azimut Atlantis 43
The head for the mid cabin also can serve as the day head.
