New Back Cove 33 Popular - 05/16/2007
Company says Spring sales exceed expectations

The Back Cove 33 – launched at the 2007 Miami International Boat Show – was well received at a series of winter boat shows, including her recent stops at the New England Boat Show and the Maine Boatbuilders Show, according to a recent company statement. “ In fact, sales of the Back Cove 33 have greatly exceeded the company’s expectations,” the report said.

“The design has struck a chord with big boat owners looking to move down as well as with smaller boat owners looking for additional accommodations for family cruising,” said Bentley Collins, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Back Cove Yachts. “Her single diesel engine/bow thruster combination has also proven to be very popular as fuel costs are a concern amongst boaters.”

About the 33

The Back Cove 33 is designed with the same classic Downeast lobster boat flair that is a hallmark of all Back Cove models. Modern technology below the waterline complements her classic design, says the company. “Maximum comfort is extremely important to Back Cove owners, so the 33 has a roomy cockpit and abundant amenities below deck to match. The spacious interior features sumptuous cherry joinery and outstanding craftsmanship throughout,” says the press release. The boat has a 12’ beam and a 3’ draft, displaces 13,000 lbs. and has a 185-gallon fuel tank.

Above Deck

The Back Cove 33’s deck holds the galley and dinette arrangement for dining with family and friends. Large windows provide plenty of light and air, while the hardtop will protect from all of nature’s elements. There are several major options available on the 33 including a hardback enclosure, genset and reverse cycle heating and air conditioning.

Below Deck

The Back Cove 33 offers a V-berth forward and an L-settee to port which converts to sleeping accommodations. She can accommodate 5 guests for an overnight stay. Also below deck is a full sized head with stall shower.
