In profile the Four Winns V338 looks huge. Its sweeping shear from bow to swim platform is as graceful as any Euro-styled boat on the water and any price.
The V338 has two layout options: with and without a bulkhead closing off the forward cabin. The version without comes with a curtain for privacy.
The mid-cabin is noteworthy because it uses the full 11’6” beam so it makes a comfortable conversation pit with cocktails with friends, or a large playroom for the kids. An NBA basketball player could stretch out his legs, add a filler cushion and take a nap in comfort. The builder has thoughtfully raised the overhead (because it is under the helm seat) on the starboard side so you can sit up and watch a flip-down TV or read in bed.

The most popular place on the boat is the large U-shaped lounge in the cockpit.
At the Helm
The helm was designed for easy viewing of instruments and the cockpit had plenty of room to move about and to mingle with guests. I liked the added Flexiteak decking as it gave a more yachty feel to the boat. The hinged arch will make it easy to pass under more of the low fixed bridges like we have in Florida. Not only does this arch provide a place for radar and Sat TV domes, but it also provides a solid anchoring place for cruising canvas – always a great investment in our view because of the many extra days it can add to your boating season. At night it effectively gives you two socializing areas as well, one in the cockpit and one below.
