Bertram Yachts and Ferretti Group
have collaborated on the birth of their new 360 design, which is the first 30+ footer
to be introduced to the Bertram line in years. She is offered in either an Open
or hardtop version. This model is a long-delayed replacement of the popular 31.
In fact, the 360 is a direct descendant of the classic 31. Today’s 360 Open captures
the essence of the traditional fishboat layout with the modern flair and sleeker,
softer lines that post baby boomers are used to. Our first impressions on the 360
Open? Solid. Serious. A man's boat.

Open or Express Version
This is not grandpa’s Bertram by any means. The 360 can be customized to your needs
whether it’s a hybrid of the hardtop or the Express model you’re after. She’s a
rugged, offshore-ready, heavy 36 footer. Designing a performance sportfishing boat
was the goal in mind, as she’s built with wider chines to reduce her time to plane
and a deep V hull for rough water. Bring it on, because this one has the undercarriage
to stand up with the big dogs. She may be the baby in the line up, but don’t let
her size fool you.
She can run with the big boys.
Even though she’s got a softer profile -- thanks to the Italians -- there’s something
about her that’s just unmistakably “Bertram” and this is what we like. The designers
didn’t steer completely away from tradition, rather just improved on their own proven
and familiar design.
The Tuna Tower
Capt. Steve takes a video look.
One of our favorite features on this boat is the tower and how easily it attaches.
Capt. Steve says, “The whole tower is a single piece option for the boat, which
attaches to the top side of the hardtop. The hardtop is attached to the boat with
thick pipes, just like a t-top, with flanges on the ends of those pipes to bolt
the top into place. Do that in all four corners and voila -- a fishing machine.”
Length overall is 36 feet, and with the bow pulpit she measures 39 feet 4 inches.
Her beam is 13 feet 6 inches and she weighs in at 28,440 lbs. Fuel capacity is 400
gallons and freshwater capacity is 80 gallons. Standard power on the 360 Open are
twin 500-hp QSC Cummins diesels, or for additional power you can add the optional
twin 600-hp Cummins.
