Spotlight On...
Carver 38 Super Sport
Equipped with the new Volvo IPS drive system allowing faster speed and better manueverability, this new 38 SS hit a top speed of 35.3 mph.

The Yamaha Motor Company was founded in 1955 and its subsidiary, Yamaha Watercraft Group, is headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia.  Today, Yamaha produces nine WaveRunner models and seven boat models in the U.S. ranging from the 88.2-inch SuperJet PWC to the 23-foot, 10-person SX230 High Output. We just tested three of their newest models, and links to those tests are below.  

FX Cruiser High Output
This powerful FX Cruiser High Output is the flagship of Yamaha's WaveRunner fleet. The 160-hp Yamaha MR-1 engine has the power to pull skiers and boarders, or take two passengers for a ride. On test day this watercraft hit a top speed of 58.2 mph. 

One of the three models in the 210 Series is the SX210. This runabout is designed for the active family and features seating for nine, an extended swim platform, and lots of power thanks to its twin 110-hp Yamaha four-stroke engines hitched to waterjet drives.  On test day the SX210 clocked a top speed of 47.6 mph and cruised most economically at 6000 rpm doing 26.7 mph.

VX110 Deluxe

The VX110 Deluxe offers style, performance and innovative features at an affordable price. This model measures 127.7'' and provides a longer seat and a more stable reboarding platform.  On test day the VX110 Deluxe reached a top speed of 53.5 mph with the 110-hp Yamaha In-line four-stroke.
