Hi, According to this video, this engine/boat (3.0L MerCruiser) is supposed to have the bilge drain plug hooked up to the oil drain hose. My 2007 Bayliner does not have this--the bilge drain plug does not hook-up to anything. I went to the local MerCruiser service center and looked in the manual and did not see any kind of drain plug that you could attach a lanyard or wire to. Does anyone know where this drain plug can be found?Thank you,Mark in Dallas

Hi, I just changed the oil on it. The owner's manual said to pump out the oil in the dipstick shaft. I did. I got a little, about 1 - 2 ounces. Your video says this is not necessary. It also says that the only place you need to drain it is through the blue hoses. That is good. In general, I like this engine. I bought the boat, a 2007 Bayliner with the 3.0L Mercruiser on Feb. 27, 2009.
