The Lighthouse version 3.4 lets App developers and marine technology partners now create apps for Axiom and Axiom Pro LightHouse 3 OS systems, resulting in more integration of systems. Partners who plan to capitalize on the app system are gyro-stabilizer manufacturer Seakeeper and Mazu satellite communications.
The Lighthouse 3 OS software upgrade also adds Bluetooth audio output, so a boater can push out the sound from streaming entertainment to an onboard stereo unit.
Lighthouse version 3.4 now offers a chartplotter function called “find nearest,” which lets users find hot spots within the chart within such categories as fuel docks, marinas, wrecks and other features. Another chart function is tide mode, where boaters can monitor tide height and current data for nearby stations.
The system also allows the user to step up fuel management thanks to integration of the NMEA 2000 engine data, including fuel tank senders. Fuel burn, range, and economy can all be monitored in real time. Lighthouse 3.4 also lets the user monitor any alarm settings and the history of the system from the home screen. To make the most of the integration, users can also control dimming of screens and instruments from one display, making it easy to transition into and out of low-light conditions.
