The 305 has ample room down below with accommodations for four. The dinette bench seat also converts into twin double berths.
There’s never any question that the 305 isn’t first and foremost a fishing boat. Instead of the single bait rigging station often seen, the 305 is equipped with two, and two livewells, to boot. There are high capacity fishboxes in the transom and the cockpit sole. Her transom door features a solid, stainless steel positive closing latch, which eliminates the annoying rattling and vibration that these doors are prone to when running in seas. All-round coaming padding is an option, as is fresh and raw water washdowns.
The skipper has his own raised, adjustable pedestal helm seat flanked by two guest seats.There’s plenty of space in the console for flush-mounted electronics and it’s easy to reach the wiring to install them. The windshield is unusually high for spray protection and a stainless steel destroyer wheel is another standard.
Belowdecks, the layout is designed for you to rest well after a hard days fishing. The angled forward double bunk also allows for a private changing area and the salon seating quickly converts to a pair of over and under singles. There’s plenty of stowage space, including hanging lockers and integrated molded-in brackets for rod stowage are located throughout the accommodation. With her 18-degree transom deadrise and tough, traditional fiberglass construction, the 305 is truly a fishing boat for all seasons.
