Crestliner LSi Angler 2485 (Not in Production) Captain's Report
LSi Angler 2485
By Capt. Chris Kourtakis
Crestliner has developed the perfect blend between fishing and cruising with the redesigned 2485 LSi Angler. The 23’ 8” deck is supported by a pair of 27” round tubes that provide a stable and comfortable ride, while the lifetime warranty gives you confidence and reassurance for as long as you own the boat.
Attention to Detail
Every attention to detail has been covered by Crestliner. The painted rails and painted uppers on the pontoons give the boat a clean and finished look whether you are at the dock or cruising on your favorite lake.
The double facing benches in the front are high backed and plush for and evening cruise with friends and family. The optional bow filler cushion helps convert the front seating into a U-shaped lounge for a cozier cruise. And if the fish aren’t biting, the couches are great for catching a little shut eye.
Another convenient feature of the bench seats lies underneath all that padding. The double hinged seats are easy to access and have self draining channels to keep all of your gear dry, while the vents in the bottom of the seats help make sure that your seats will last.
Getting on to the boat is a snap with three oversized entry doors. Each door has a unique storage net on the inside which is great for storing sun tan lotion or towel. Crestliner makes sure that you do not pinch your hands in the gates with a specially designed stopper.
At the Helm
The helm station is inviting to any captain and gives you complete control of the boat, while allowing you to entertain your guests. The helm features a top mounted trash can and sink make cleaning up a snap after your favorite afternoon snack. The tilt wheel, aircraft style toggle switches and analog gauges add to the helm’s comfort, while the satellite ready Clarion radio and CD play your favorite music.
The L-shaped lounge with removable table is great for enjoying your favorite on water snack. What pontoon would be complete without an easy to use pop-up changing station, which is located under the single sun pad.
Fishing Features
The lockable rod locker on the starboard side of the boat is easy to access and will store your favorite rod and reel until you get to your favorite fishing hole. After you reel in the day’s catch, keeping them alive until you get back to the dock is easy with the built-in livewell, located between the two casting seats and the battery compartments.
Performance
Equipped with a 60 horsepower MerCruiser four-stroke our test boat hit a top speed of 19.6 mph turning 5400 rpm. Don’t plan on beating anyone to the hot spot on the lake, as our test boat proved that fishing and cruising are a leisure activity that is enjoyed with time.
