The Sea Ray 240 Sundeck is a versatile boat that has the speed of a bowrider with the room of a pontoon boat. At 24 feet, she’s not only a good performer, she also has plenty of room for family and friends.
Key Features
One feature that definitely stands out on the 240 is her wide beam. Its width of 8 feet, six inches gives her extra stability out in open waters. Ladders at both the bow and the transom allow swimmers and beach goers to board her at all ends. There’s also an enclosed head with sink located amidships. A full size locker is located between the driver and the portside lounge and it’s held open with high quality assist struts so it won’t close accidentally. Forward there’s a U-shaped seating area with a removable table and wetbar. Contact: Sea Ray Boats, Inc. 2600 Sea Ray Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37914, Phone: (866) 244-0862, www.searay.com.

The forward locker has a rugged, three step ladder, and it’s a simple matter to deploy it and great when pulling up to the beach. There’s also a cooler and freshwater shower at the transom. A second ladder off the swim platform means you can reboard from either the stern or bow.
Amidships, a portside console hides a fully enclosed head compartment with portlight and sink. There’s also good storage space in a full-size locker in the sole between the driver and portside lounge.
The beam is also much wider on the 240 than what you’d find on a traditional sportboat, and that means you and your guests will have a more comfortable ride. A 21-degree deadrise and three running strakes add to the performance and dry ride of the 240.
