This year Larson brought its dealer group to Key Largo Florida to introduce the latest in the line. All the Larson models now have warranty coverage through to 2012. Now Larson is the single point of contact for everything on board from stem to stern. The Larson 5 Plus 5 program that covers everything including items not manufactured by Larson.
Up front, the new hatches really to seem to soften the bow yet provide light and air below. The large space will be a big hit with the sun tanning crew. Larson mounts the remote controlled spotlight up on the rail to reduce the glare from the light bouncing off the bow. An anchor, roller, chain, and windlass are located at the bow. Looking towards the cockpit, you have a full-framed windshield with a driver’s side wiper and center walk-through.
There is a port side lounger for company while you are underway. Helm seating is bench style with a driver’s bolster for more comfort while standing and driving or better view when coming up on plane. Burlwood accents at the helm have been replaced with brushed aluminum look panels in the automotive-style dash. The center space has room for large flat screen displays and rocker switches are arranged at your fingertips to the right and left of the mahogany tilt wheel.
Snap-in carpet protects your feet and the fiberglass liner is simple to clean. The redesigned radar arch provides a great place to attach antennas and electronic gear as well as a solid attachment point for canvas over the helm and cockpit.
When it is time to serve drinks and snacks, the wet bar will become the focus. It has an ice box, sink with pressure water, drinkholders and a cockpit refrigerator below. Next to the wet bar is a portside bench with a large U-shaped lounger across from it. If you are planning some fishing and need the space, you can store parts of the U-shaped bench to increase open cockpit space.
At the Swim Platform
Entry to the swim platform is through a transom door with spring loaded hatch that really keeps the door from rattling when underway. On the port side is a dunnage box for gear and the swim shower is in this box. Also, shore connections are led into this port side box. A large box is across the center of the stern for water toys, lines, and fenders. The huge swim platform will certainly be a focus for fun while at anchor. Larson has already molded into the platform attachment points for a dingy davit system. The concealed ladder is a four step telescoping deep reach ladder.
In the Cabin
The 330 features an L-shaped salon with cherry cabinets and a solid wood table that is finished in a super high gloss. The salon lounger converts into another bed when you have additional overnight guests. The galley has lots of storage for dry goods and has a large portal for natural light when you are preparing meals. The appliances include a coffee maker, microwave, two burner cooktop and refrigerator/freezer. The granite look countertop has plenty of room for food preparation and a sea rail to keep everything on the counter when the seas are a rough.
The V-berth has a 13” LCD TV with DVD so you can enjoy a movie in the evening before retiring for the night, or entertain the kids while you and your guests enjoy a sunset from the cockpit. Play CDs or listen to your favorite station on the Clarion Marine stereo with six months Sirius Satellite reception included. Beneath the V-berth is a huge carpeted storage space for your bulk supplies.
The mid cabin is plenty large for the kids to have a comfortable night’s rest. Flying steps into the cabin really open up the mid cabin space. If they enjoy reading, individual reading lights provide plenty of light for reading. Another cedar lined closet provides room for your guests to store their clothes away.
The enclosed fiberglass head has a shower with pull out hand wand, shower curtain, sink and VacuFlush head with pumpout.
