The 2275 LX is a 22-foot cruising pontoon designed to give you most of Bennington's most popular luxury features without the luxury price tag.
Of the models we've tested so far, the 2275 LX is the next logical step up in size from the 207, and that extra two feet is put to good use.
We particularly like the optional port-side table group in lieu of the chaise lounge. This is a good option for empty nesters who don't need to take 10 or more people out at once.

Luxury Throughout
The 2275 LX gets you most of the popular standard features but without the luxury price tag.
Optional Table Group
Rather than having the tradional layout of two chaise lounges on either side in the bow area, you can opt for this comfortable table group with pedestal seats for two.
Built-In Waste Bin
Nobody thinks about trash until it's time to put it somewhere. Well, not Benningon. They've built in this 13-gallon home-sized trash bin right into the back of the chaise lounge to keep it hidden yet
Changing Room
Like so many other Bennington models, the 2275 LX comes complete with a changing room that can handle an optional portable marine sanitation device.
Aquaknot Cover
When it's time to put the boat away on Sunday night, this optional cover will protect the seating and carpet against unnecessary wear from the elements when not in use.
The Bennington 2275 LX is a mid-priced pontoon boat with many of the luxury features found on more expensive pontoons. We like the way Bennington puts the docking lights in custom molded modules at the bow. The rail of this pontoon is set back from the bow to make it easy to get onboard when beaching.
Packed with Features
One of the great features of Bennington Pontoon boats are their tremendous storage capacity. There is space for almost everything under the Roto-formed seats and in pockets on the sides. The plastic lined compartments are large and easy to get to. They are also self-draining. The large comfortable seats also have cupholders that can be moved around to where ever you like them to be. This is an unusual feature. No space was wasted, including behind the seat rests.
Bennington also realized that convenience means what to do with trash. To that end, they designed a convenient trash bin concealed behind the seat back rest on the port side.
At the Wheel
The control console features a full set of instruments in easy to see black on white gauges, much like what you would see on a sport boat. Toggle switches for other systems are also included, which are backed-up by circuit breakers instead of fuses. There is also a nice tilting steering wheel suitable for standup driving. The plush captain’s seat swivels, and tunes are provided by a marine grade radio/CD player.
Lots of Open Space
The stern lounge area is roomy and has the same abundant under seat storage as was found at the bow. For those water-borne snacks, a small-kidney-shaped table is located here. The table is easy to remove for extra deck space.
What’s an open pontoon boat without a place for privacy? That’s why Bennington has included a pop-up changing room at the stern. The hydraulic lifts make the process of raising the curtains a snap.
A convenient ladder makes getting back onboard a no-brainer. But the way the outboard is set back from the stern makes it hard to reach the engine’s primer bulb from onboard.
Another great Bennington feature on this pontoon boat is how easy it is to raise and lower the top. No complicated straps or snaps. Instead, Bennington found a way to mount the side supports in a way that keeps the top taught against the wind. And it is remarkably strong as you can see. The top can even support my weight.
