Sea-Doo Challenger 1800
Sea-Doo Challenger 1800
With seven seats, the Sea-Doo Challenger 1800 is one of the biggest and fastest jet boats on the water today. The 1800 is a fun, versatile, and easy to use jetboat that everyone in the family will enjoy.

Key Features

The 1800 Challenger comes with standard reverse, which is an essential feature when it comes to maneuvering the jetboat around the docks. An adjustable mirror for watching waterskiers is also standard and so is a stereo system. A built-in cooler will keep everyone’s drinks ice cold even on the hottest day, and a long in-sole locker keeps waterskis out of the way until they are ready to be used. Perhaps one of the most important features is the weedless intake system, which will keep you from having to go over the side and clear out the grate every time you encounter some floating debris.

Sea-Doo Challenger 1800 Captain's Report

The Sea-Doo Challenger 1800 is one of the biggest and fastest jetboats on the water today. She’s one little speed demon that will keep your adrenaline pumping all day.

For 2000, the heart of this jetboat, is the single 210-hp M2 jet drive, a significant change from the power package on our earlier test boat.

As a winner of the IDEA98 engineering design award, it has a multi-chine V-hull that provides quick acceleration, nimble turning and handling, and a very stable ride.

Its 17-foot 11-inch overall length, seven and a half foot beam and a solid weight of 1,865 lbs. help provide that stability, even when ripping through rough waters.

With twin 800 Series Rotax motors wide open, we clocked a blistering top end speed of 48.7 mph at 5200 rpm and a best cruise of 25.0 mph at 3000 rpm. Out on the course, the 1800 flew out of the water and onto plane in just seconds. About 2 seconds to be precise.
