If you’re looking for a boat that not only brings the “cool factor” but makes your day on the water regardless of whether the game plan calls for skiing, wakeboarding, or just spending the day on the hook, well then Tahoe has a boat worth looking into. The Q7SSi has a LOA of 20’6" (6.5 m), and a beam of 8’ (2.44 m), and packs a lot of features we don’t usually see on boats in this class. Plenty of storage, a wake tower, clever use of a retractable cushion in the walkthrough, and full instrumentation to name just a few. At it’s priced under $30k, including a 5.8L 220-hp engine and a painted trailer. Join us as we take a walk through the Tahoe Q7i SS.

The Tahoe Q7i SS is one of the company’s most popular boats. By adding the tower, Tahoe also adds the SS designation.
The New Family Vehicle
If you need a bowrider that has a bit more room than the entry level 18 footers, or if you are in the market for your first upgrade, then take a look at the Tahoe Q7i SS. It’s a fun and affordable sportboat package that will leave little else for you to buy, short of skis or tubes.
Measuring 20’6” overall with a beam of 8’, the Q7i SS has a stated USCG capacity limit of nine persons. That’s a mathematical conclusion, but the reality is that you’ll have seating for 7 or 8 comfortably, while still having room for maintaining a social atmosphere.
Look at all the room you have aboard. There is seating for 7 or 8 and the boat comes with an aerated livewell, stainless steel ski tow ring, and Sirius capable AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 jack and four speakers.
Check out the Standard Features...
The adjustable swivel bucket seats are standard, and the captain also enjoys the flip up bolster. The passenger gets control of the Sirius-ready AM/FM/CD player with MP3 jack, and has a glove box, non-skid storage tray for the cell phone, and an insulated ice chest. Up forward, the two lounge seats have insulated storage underneath. This is a great spot for loading the food and iced sodas, so rather than waste this space on storage for life jackets, here’s yet another good opportunity/excuse to have all your passengers wearing them. The full width bench seats at the stern have storage under the center, and the port jump seat is removable, allowing for a walk-through transom.
There is a walk-through transom with slide out jump seat so you don’t have to trample over the sun pad to get to the swim platform. A fold-down boarding ladder tucks neatly away and there are four stainless steel mooring cleats around the boat.
The full width integral swim platform features a flip-out boarding ladder and there’s additional drink storage in insulated compartments at either end. A total of nine drink holders, and ski wakeboard storage between the two bucket seats round out the entertainment package.
Standard Power Package…
Tahoe packages the Q7i SS with a standard MerCruiser 4.3L 190-hp V-6 engine. If you consistently fill the boat with friends, or do a lot of skiing or wakeboarding, then you have nine other engine options up to and including a MerCruiser 350 MAG Multi Port Injected 300-hp V-8 with a dual prop Bravo 3 outdrive. That will have you pulling Dumbo up on skis in a heart beat.
The custom factory-matched trailer comes standard with the no haggle pricing. The Q7i SS comes pretty well equipped with its standard features, but if you want to add on a few extras there are some nice options like the wakeboard tower and rack, snap-in carpet, and upgraded stereo system with subwoofer.
Tahoe throws in, as standard, a custom matched dual axle trailer equipped with brakes, submersible lights, and a swing away tongue jack. The entire package, with the 4.3L 190-hp V-6 and trailer, is priced at a no hassle, no haggle $24,995, plus freight and dealer prep.
