The Formula 400 Super Sport is all about putting real performance in an express cruiser. The Formula 400 comes standard with a pair of MerCruiser 415-hp, 502 MAG MPIs, which gets her out of the water and really moving at better than 50 mph.

Key Features

    The U-shaped settee in the cockpit converts into a giant sunpad, and the wet bar is one of the biggest we’ve seen complete with a Corian countertop, sink and ice maker. For the swimmers and water lovers there’s a transom shower with both hot-and-cold water. The Kiekhaefer Zero Effort controls have a convenient drive trim switch in the handle which give you a hint of the performance that’s available here. The galley features Corian countertops and a full size refrigerator. And when it’s time to relax, a TV with VCR and Kenwood stereo system with CD player come standard. Formula 400 Super Sport Captain's Report

The Formula 400 Super Sport brings you top end performance with plenty of space to either entertain or just have all to yourself.

John Adams engineered the 400’s hull for optimum placement of the step, chine, strakes and keel pad. The design lifts the boat quickly onto plane, and provides a very dry, smooth and stable ride. The hull itself is hand-laid using custom triaxial fiberglass and AME 5000 resin, and the stringer system is fully encapsulated in glass and bonded to the hull for strength and durability.

The deadrise at transom is a high-performance 22 degrees. And the vertical clearance including the stylish radar arch, is 10 feet six inches so she can fit under most fixed bridges.

Formula’s design team chose to leave the 400’s interior wide open, which makes it feel even bigger. The nine-foot-long lounge seat is covered in elegant UltraLeather, and it converts to a massive berth.

Thanks to the lift provided by the Fas3Tech hull, the 400 cruises easily at 36.1 mph at 3500 rpm, and she tops out at 51.5 mph at 4900 rpm. With a full tank of fuel, her cruising range is 235 miles at best cruise, and that will easily take you to the Bahamas, Mexico, or well up the Mississippi River.
