The 210 Bowrider boasts several key improvements over earlier models, primarily as a result of its new hull design.
Key Features
The vented chine delivers a measurable increase in performance and handling. The 210 carves tight turns at speed with plenty of kick to get skiers up quickly. The 210 features an extended sunpad aft atop the engine cover, and the bow area quickly converts to a second sunpad forward. This bowrider's got a lot of room for a 21-footer. She can seat up to six adults--two up in the bow, two in pedastal seats abaft the windshield, and two more across the aft benchseat.
This describes the sportboat layout on our test boat, but if you plan to do a fair amount of waterskiing or wakeboarding, you might opt for one of two other seating plans, featuring jump seats aft on either side of the engine and fore/aft facing seats in the cockpit. Either way, the 210 BR has a stowage locker for all your watertoys built right into the cockpit sole.
The integral swim platform is big enough to make a good staging area for skiers, and it's a simple matter to deploy the three-rung swim ladder which is standard equipment here.
To keep everyone cool there's a built-in ice chest in the portside dash, and we found it was a comfortable reach to the single-lever engine control hitched to a 220-hp MerCruiser 5.0L with Alpha One sterndrive. All in all, the 210 BR is a great-performer that's easy on the eyes and the wallet.
