New Vessel Vanguard Management Products

Vessel Vanguard can be used to keep an eye on systems on large yachts as well as smaller vessels.

Vessel Vanguard, a subsidiary of Baxter Marine Group, has a remarkable boating equipment database including virtually every accessory manual, scheduled maintenance program, warranty document and much more on over 100,000 components used in all boats. It has taken many years to compile this information and it is the only such database in the world. Now, all of this important content can be accessed by boat owners so they know when to schedule maintenance for equipment, order parts or other services bundled in the system. This company has just released a new suite of products designed for all sizes of boats, both recreational and commercial – all to make it easy to manage maintenance.

New and Improved

Baxter Marine acquired WheelHouse Technologies and Vessel Vanguard in 2021 and invested in technology and infrastructure upgrades to create the latest version of Vessel Vanguard. The upgraded system has new features and functionality that the company says can be easily navigated through an intuitive interface.

“We’re committed to providing the marine industry with the most advanced, modern solutions to improve vessel reliability and safety while creating a significant reduction in operational expenses,” said Rick Heine, chairman of Baxter Business Group. “Vessel Vanguard has gone through a complete rebuild and now provides comprehensive solutions for every segment of the marine industry, including recreational, commercial and passenger vessel operators.”

One of the noteworthy features of Vessel Vanguard is its mobile app.

Repurposed for Efficiency

The new Vessel Vanguard platform delivers a redesigned web UI/UX that it says provides users with a simplified workflow for managing vessel operation. The release comes with a new mobile app that puts information in the hands of operators in real-time and streamlines the tasks regularly performed by crewmembers. This upgrade strengthens the security and reliability of the system and delivers new options for integration including telematics and electronic signatures.

“We are very excited to go live with the next generation of Vessel Vanguard products, said April Stercula, CEO of Baxter Marine Group. “This release provides major upgrades to our customers in the way of features, functionality and security. WE have also created flexibility plans and pricing to meet the needs of every segment of the marine industry. Whether you operate a single-engine center console or a fleet of tankers, Vessel Vanguard can help make every trip as safe, seamless and cost-effective as possible.”

Vessel Vanguard LTE is targeted at recreational boats.

Vessel Vanguard is offering three levels of service, LTE, PRO and SMS. The LTE plan provides solutions for recreational boaters. The PRO plan is aimed at complex operations including commercial operators and large vessels. It provides tools for managing large vessels and fleets while SMS has all the capabilities of PRO plus added features needed for operators who require a safety-management system as part of their regulatory requirements.
